Show Notes, 18th March 2013

Today on the show Lena is going to rant about the demise of Google Reader, talk about cats on the internet and play some TED talks.

Google Reader was wonderful, features were ripped out with the flop of google buzz. Now with the faltering adoption of Google+ they’re doing away with Google Reader. They’re introducing Google Keep which may revive some of the thing that google reader used to do.

I, Lena, believe that google is axing google reader because it is difficult to monetize. Google reader was a work around for web censorship, http://www.webpronews.com/change-org-its-not-just-bloggers-and-techies-who-will-miss-google-reader-2013-03

Lena talks about what she thinks feedly will need to do so it can match what google reader is.

While mourning the demise of google reader I’ve been consoling myself with cuteboyswithcats.net
